ABOUT CLEVELANDER
Spring break is
a year-round state of mind at this old favorite on Ocean Drive. The tropical,
outdoor bar features rowdy poolside bikini contests which are known to get out
of hand, quickly descending into the depths of a fraternity house atmosphere.
Each introduction of a woman seemingly made for beer commercials and tightly
fitted with the tiniest string ensembles you'll ever see only encourages the
hooting and hollering.
Then there's the comedy that never fails to arrive when one very inebriated
woman from somewhere north of Jacksonville tumbles down the walkway constructed
over the pool. The Clevelander is essentially a tourist destination, but because
of its central location, drink specials, and those sordid afternoon affairs,
